I always wanted to work on my version of Thundercats character and I thought this was a great opportunity to do that.  I wasn’t sure which character I wanted to do so I just went with main dude Lion-O.  I’m hoping to work on other characters as well especially cheetara when I have time.  Anyway, thanks for the support and hope you guys enjoy our Saturday morning carton art work.  Thanks.

Hello!!! I’m very happy to be part of this “Clash of the Titans”.  I really enjoyed previous posts from my colleagues.  Great job guys!  

Over the past few weeks I’ve spent most of my lunch hours working on the “Clash of the Titans”.  It has been a few years since the last time I watched the movie but I always remembered the scene with Poseidon and Perseus.  So, it wasn’t that difficult to decide what I wanted in the painting.  It was more of challenge on the rest of the other things though… like composition, shading, colors and etc.  It was a great learning experience and I had a blast working on it.  I’m glad I finished it and also happy for those who participated in the project.    

I started with a black and white rough so I can figure out the distance of the objects much easier.  Having color from the beginning can make things a bit hard to accomplish this task IMO.  Once I’m happy with everything from composition to depth and balance of the painting then I throw in colors.
