Fantasy Theme pt.4: Bugbear Mercenary
Submitted by muPPetman on Mon, 06/07/2010 - 13:25
There are so many cool things to do with the fantasy theme, it's hard to decide on just one. A few weeks ago, I started going through some of my reference images to see what I might want to sculpt and I came across this really cool concept by Jeff Murchie of a bugbear. I did a little research on what exactly a bugbear was and found that they can sometimes be mercenaries and that every once in a while they take people as slaves. So I thought it would be cool to have him holding a woman in chains. I was very influenced by Jeff Murchie's design but also added some of my own elements. I hope you guys like it!

Wow! Love it. Thanks for sharing. Nice detail and lighting! I see bugbears choose their slaves carefully.
Interesting and detailed, what more could we ask for. Excellent artwork.

Chris stop being so good at graphics. You are making me look bad with my stick people :P hahahaha

Frickin Saweeet! Love it!
Awesome!!! Excellent artwork :)) his face is so well done
The name "bugbear" makes you (or just me) think that it would look like a somewhat friendly beast.
Not this bugger!
This guy is intense, as is your artwork. Nice.
Wow great job with the face it looks great.
@Chris I agree bugbear doesn't sound like a very mean creature.
