There are so many cool things to do with the fantasy theme, it's hard to decide on just one. A few weeks ago, I started going through some of my reference images to see what I might want to sculpt and I came across this really cool concept by Jeff Murchie of a bugbear. I did a little research on what exactly a bugbear was and found that they can sometimes be mercenaries and that every once in a while they take people as slaves. So I thought it would be cool to have him holding a woman in chains. I was very influenced by Jeff Murchie's design but also added some of my own elements. I hope you guys like it!

As the Community Coordinator for Robot Entertainment, part of my job is making sure that Age of Empires III players who play online on ESO can have a good, safe time with their favorite game. There are a lot of parts to that job, but today I wanted to speak to the issue of account security, one of the larger issues in the Age3 community.
Age3 and ESO have a lot of rules regarding account security, as we take it very seriously. Your account is only as secure as you make it, and sometimes people try to take shortcuts or make mistakes that can compromise the security of their account.
Here are some tips to help you make sure that you ... READ MORE
Hello Everyone,
This is my contribution to the fantasy theme. I have always loved the fantasy genre and this is my attempt at a Warrior. I had no intention of having him resemble a Warcraft character but it definitely ended up going down that road. READ MORE

First of all, it feels like I've been away from Art Bot Central forever. I'm sorry that I missed such a great theme with the Monster Topic, but the art department represented with some amazing stuff as always.
But now, I'm back to help kick-start our new theme, Fantasy.
Before I ever knew much about PC games, I knew about comics and Dungeons and Dragons. I forced my will in my graphic design courses while in college by doing dragons and superheroes when I was supposed to be doing corporate advertisements and company logos. I have always had a soft spot for the fantasy genre.
With this piece in particular, I wanted to do a piece inspi ... READ MORE
You may have noticed a mysterious new image on our front page. A year ago, when we first started putting ideas together for the site, we wanted to have some playful robot characters doing various tasks similar to what we have now on our "Projects" page. This was one of my robot designs that never got used, so I just archived it and forgot about it until just a couple months ago. I thought it would be fun to take it into zbrush and add some details to it and make it look HUGE. I got rid of the antenna and put in a bunch of seams and small details.

When I was around 9 or 10, my dad and I used to watch this show called, "Tales From The Darkside" There was an episode that completely terrified me called "Inside the Closet". It was about an old professor who rented a room out of his house to college kids. Little did these students know, that they would become food for his 3 year old, re-animated daughter. At the end of the episode, the poor occupant of the room unlocks a small closet to find a freakish goblin looking creature that then kills her and I assume, devours her. The episode was directed by Tom Savini, a legendary FX artist also responsible for designing the little goblin, wh ... READ MORE
