Hello and thanks for checking out my post. As a kid I couldn’t wait for saturday mornings so I could wake up and watch the latest episodes of my favorite cartoons. With our latest theme I decided to try to do a zbrush sculpt of a character from one of my favorite shows. I decided to try my hand at zbrush. READ MORE
When I was a kid, I remember waking up every Saturday morning while my parents were still asleep, getting a giant bowl of Cookie Crisp and watching cartoons until lunch. I loved shows like Thundarr the Barbarian, Dungeons and Dragons, He-Man, The Mighty Orbots and my favorite, Thundercats. I really liked all the characters but my favorite was always Panthro. He seemed like the toughest Thundercat out of all of them and had, what I thought to be, the coolest weapon. The NUMCHUCKS! ..or nunchaku if you want to be all technical. Here’s some images of Panthro from the original show. READ MORE
Round here at the Robot Factory, we like to keep our gears turning over lunch breaks and after our daily work is completed by playing some games. Some people like to run a quick heroic in World of Warcraft, or join up with their pod mates and kill each other in Battlefield 2. Still others jump in their mining barges and harvest some Crokite in Eve-Online. As for me and a few others, we get our kicks with some turn-based strategy games like Dominions 3 and the newly released Solium Infernum. READ MORE
This was an easy one me, I watched everything Spiderman along with reading the three comic series they had out at the time. Like my previous post in the GIJOE theme, I'm taking advantage of these art blog posts to learn more ZBrush and I'm really liking the program.
Here is the base mesh I worked up from a low poly model. I'd have to say the painting of all his webs in his costume almost drove me crazy. I couldn't tell you how many times I almost switched him to his all black suit :)

I always wanted to work on my version of Thundercats character and I thought this was a great opportunity to do that. I wasn’t sure which character I wanted to do so I just went with main dude Lion-O. I’m hoping to work on other characters as well especially cheetara when I have time. Anyway, thanks for the support and hope you guys enjoy our Saturday morning carton art work. Thanks. READ MORE
Hey all... over the past few months my fellow artists have been kicking out some really inspiring images based on themes selected by our staff. Our newest addition is “Saturday Morning Cartoons”. I selected Skeletor from The Masters of the Universe. I have an affinity for the Fantasy genre so this seemed like a natural fit. READ MORE
I love Halloween. I love dressing up and pretending to be someone else. I love decorating the office with scary, gory things because I can’t do it at home with 2 small children. I love that Halloween still brings out the kid in us and we all can’t wait for our kids to get home with their disgusting amounts of candy so we can pick through in search for the Heath Bar or Whoppers or whatever you might like. This year the Robots all brought the excess candy from their homes and it was put in our café. I think we have cleared half of it by day 2 i READ MORE
At Robot Entertainment we love working on things that are fun and entertaining. And not just at work. With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year the extra time to prepare for the event gave my family the opportunity to do more than just hand out candy. We decided to decorate the front lawn in a manner designed to provide a spooky atmosphere for our visiting Trick-or-Treat’ers. This is something that I have wanted to do for a couple of years but never had the time to fully implement my vision. READ MORE
