RULES OF CONDUCT

We have certain rules and regulations in place to moderate our Games and the community features available on our Services. You are responsible for reading and following all of the following rules and regulations carefully:

The Orcs Must Die! forums are intended to be a friendly and fun environment where every community member is free to share ideas, contribute to discussions, and discuss feedback.

These Rules of Conduct outline the behavior that is expected of all community members. By using the Orcs Must Die! forums, you are agreeing to the Rules of Conduct described below. Your participation in these forums is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked if you fail to follow the Rules of Conduct. Robot Entertainment staff members are allowed to address any behavior on the Orcs Must Die! forums that they feel is inappropriate.

GENERAL POSTING GUIDELINES

Before posting a new thread, read through the forums or use our Search feature. Someone may have already created a thread about your topic. This helps us to determine what subject is most important to the community.

When creating a new post, please remain on topic and refrain from posting things such as "First!" These kind of posts will be considered spam and will be removed in an effort to keep the discussion focused. If another discussion arises mid-thread that you feel deserves its own thread, please feel free to create one, pending that there is not currently a discussion on that subject already in progress. Please remember that the Orcs Must Die! Forums are only for discussing Orcs Must Die!-related topics.

DISCUSSION TITLES SHOULD BE CONCISE AND RELEVANT.

Do not cross-post or spam the forums with the same discussion in multiple places. If you are not sure where your thread should be posted, stick with General Discussion and flag your thread or message a member of the Community Team with your question.

Bumping threads with posts like "bump" or any variation of the sort is not allowed. Let your thread stand on its own merit.

We also ask that all members of the community be respectful towards those who do not speak English natively. While the official language of the forums is English, Orcs Must Die! is a game that is enjoyed by people all around the globe. Attacks on community members for grammar or spelling issues don't help to build a community and will not be tolerated.

POSTING BEHAVIOR

Be mindful of others. Creating posts that are rude and uninviting or insulting towards another member of the community -- Robot Entertainment staff or other forum members -- will not be allowed. Posts that are in line with this kind of behavior will be removed and appropriate action will be taken.

If you feel like someone is being purposely antagonistic or rude towards you or another member of the community, please feel free to report their post by using the "Flag" button, located at the bottom left side of the post. Keep in mind that reporting bad behavior does not make you immune to action should you decide to engage in poor behavior in response.

Do not harass or abuse another community member through PMs or wall posts. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated.

Do your best to remain constructive. We love hearing your feedback -- even the negative kind -- but posts such as, "I hate this game! It sucks!" do not help us to improve the player experience. Instead, if possible, tell us what aspects you dislike and why. Not only does this help us to improve the game, but it gives your fellow forum members something to talk about.

Do not abuse the Reaction system. With great power comes great responsibility, and through the Reaction system you have the ability to help shape what kind of community you want to be a part of. This means that abuse of the Reaction system, such as creating alternate accounts to artificially inflate positive or negative Reactions is not allowed. Furthermore, attempting to "revenge flag" another user is not allowed. Abusing this system may result in actions taken against your account.

Do not create offensive content anywhere on the forums. This includes, but is not limited to, content that is sexual, religious and spiritual, racial, political, or pornographic in nature. Attacking others based on their religion, race, sexuality, or beliefs will also not be tolerated and will result in action taken against your account.

Do not create "troll" threads or posts. We define trolling as a thread or comment that intends to incite a strong negative, emotional response from other community members. An example of this would be a thread designed to mock a popular poster in a way that is intentionally hurtful.

Do not name and shame other community members. Posts that do so will be removed.

Do not impersonate Robot Entertainment staff. Attempting to purposely mislead others by impersonating a staff member is not allowed.

Do not impersonate or otherwise violate the legal rights of another person. Doing so will result in action taken against your account.

Do not post another community member's personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, their home address, IP address, home phone number, and unpublished email addresses.

Do not post threads or comments that discuss or encourage illegal activities, such as threats against the life of any living person, theft, arson, piracy and account trading or selling.

Do not post about exploits or "cheats." If you would like to report an exploit or "cheat" that you have found, please contact a Robot Entertainment staff member.

Do not attempt to sell beta keys or forms of online currency on the forums, in-game, or in private messages.

Do not use alternate accounts to circumvent action taken against your account. If you feel that the action taken against your account has been done so in error, please contact the email address in the notification sent to your account.

COMMUNITY AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT DECISIONS

Forum members may have action taken against their account by members of the Community or Customer Service team. You may lose posting privileges or be suspended from the forums for a period of time as a result of repeated action taken against your account. Depending on the severity of the offense, your forum account may be permanently banned. Action may also be taken against your game account as a result of actions taken against your forum account.

Do not post threads or comments discussing moderation or action taken against your accounts. Instead, we ask that you please contact a Community or Customer Service team member to respond to any tickets you have received.
