Orcs Must Die! 3 - November 6, 2020 Patch Notes (Version 1.0.55675.7)
Greetings Warmages!
The update for ‘Orcs Must Die! 3’ on November 6th, 2020 is a big one! Not only does it come with a bounty of bug fixes, four new weekly challenges, and Stream Connect - but it also sees the release of our first expansion, ‘Drastic Steps’! Everything coming with the update is listed below!
Drastic Steps:
The ‘Drastic Steps’ expansion will be available on the Stadia storefront for $9.99 / €9.99. Any player who purchases the expansion will be able to use its content (listed below) at any time, including in a cooperative match with a partner who has not purchased it. Players who own the game using Stadia Pro will still need to purchase the expansion to access its contents, but will not be forced to purchase the game outside of Stadia Pro.
‘Drastic Steps’ contains all of the following:
An all new campaign centered around Max! Features 5 new scenarios - including 1 War Scenario!
Flyers! 6 flyers (Plus one very special flyer for the War Scenario) - Hellbats, Hellbabies, Frostbats, Shockbats, Bilebats, and Voidbats! They will feature in all of the new campaign maps.
Two new traps, available for use on every level. The Ceiling Laser and the Saw Blade Launcher - two traps which capitalize on unique killbox setups!
Two new War Scenario traps, available on every War Scenario - The Priestess and the Knight Two War Guardians capable of taking on massive portions of the Orc army alone, regenerating themselves if they lose all of their health.
Two new weapons, available everywhere! The Arcane Staff and Broadsword are the weapons of the Priestess and Knight respectively, and you as the Warmage can wield them both!
One new Endless map, based on one of the ‘Drastic Steps’ campaign maps which features flyers!
Four all new hero skins - Two for Maximillian, one for Cygnus, and one for Vorwick.
Game Improvements:
Stream Connect:
Stream Connect allows you to see your co-op partner's screen (and them to see yours), so you can see what they're doing even when you're on the other side of the map! Stream connect will be:
Available to all players for free!
Toggleable on the fly, incase you need to see behind the window.
Able to be turned off in settings, if you don’t want your partner to see your screen.
Weekly Challenges:
There are four new weekly challenges coming with this update:
Tower of Power - Start with a very large coin amount, but the only coin you will get during the level is from kill streaks or pickups. With a full complement of traps and upgrades (no Barricades) use Gabriella to defeat the mostly Fire Fiend army.
Bladeworks - Fight against an onslaught of blade wielding Orcs and Fire Fiends using blades yourself. You are equipped with Elven Short Swords and have the rip saw and wall blades at your disposal.
Ka-Boom Town - In this weekly challenge, if a minion goes boom, it’s coming for you. But don’t fret because you have things that go boom as well. The blunderbuss has upgraded grenades and all traps are fully upgraded.
Purple Reign - Purple here. Purple there. Purple everywhere. Use a selection of arcane based gear to defeat the horde of Fire Fiends and friends. All damage dealing traps are upgraded to arcane damage.
